Pipes? Someone ordered pipes? Another update to the Oddworld project.

Progress has been slower that I would have liked due to various coursework projects that were demanding most of my time.
And work where other people are counting on you to deliver  certain elements on time get priority ofcourse.

But enough of that. Time to have a look at some pipes!

Oddworld fan project [update 02]

Update 02 of the Oddworld Fan Project. Textured version of the Guard Tower.
Each different segment can be moved around to add variation and allow for easy adjustment of the prop if necessary.

Furthermore it also allows me to potentially animate the tower and have the turrets fire around, adding more depth and dynamics to the scene background.

Oddworld fan project [update 01]

I decided to start a little fan project based on one of my all time favorite games: “Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus”.
This is something that has been in the back of my mind for quite a while now and always seemed as a great project to try and tackle.
And with New ‘N’ Tasty (a reimagining of the original Oddworld game, Abe’s Oddysee) just around the corner I decided to give it a go.

The final goal is to end up with a little level or scene that is a recreation (or inspired by) a scene from the original game and in line with what is being done with New ‘N’ Tasty. Continue reading

Oddworld Mudokon face emoticons

For a while now I have been searching for decent quality images of the Mudokon face emoticons from Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus.
There are a number of them to be found on the web. However those are always low res, incomplete or have nasty curves and other weird errors in them.
I originally made these to decorate my desktop background but I figure that there are probably some Oddworld fans out there that wouldn’t mind having these as well.
